Omar Elabdellaoui , Norway and Galatasaray football Striker has been injured reported injured as a result of firework during the Year’s Eve celebration.
The Norwegian vice-captain’s club However disclosed that he’s been taken to hospital after “an unfortunate accident at his home”.
He suffered burns to his face & damage to his eyes, as reported by his club, adding to that further tests would assess the extent of his injuries.
The New Year’s Eve incident was one among many involving fireworks in Europe.
In Elabdellaoui’s case, Turkish reports say a firework exploded within the hand of the 29-year-old defender.
Turkish newspaper Hurriyet said the previous Manchester City player have lost his vision though, didn’t give more details as regards to that.
But during a statement cited by the newspaper Later On, It was said Elabdellaoui was still conscious, during a stable condition and haven’t undergone surgery.
